Serge Rueff is Director and Past-Chairman of the Swiss Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).Before joining C-Nergy, he was Senior Advisor to the President of Petroconsultants S.A. in Geneva, Switzerland (1987-1998) with worldwide responsibilities. He created the Network of Excellence in Training “NExT" concept with a Consortium of Schlumberger, S.A. Holditch & Associates “SAH”, of College Station, Texas, and Petroconsultants, in 1997.
He also created “PetroStars” in 1995, an integrated Project Management Consortium, with Societe Generale de Surveillance “SGS” of Geneva, RDS of London, SAH, Tecnomare of Milan and Petroconsultants as leader of this Consortium.
Prior to that, he was Head of Production Operations & Technologies with Deminex GmbH in Essen.He worked in Algeria and in Libya from 1975 to 1983 with Deminex and Veba Oel AG, as their Managing Director from 1978 to the end of his assignment to these countries.  Previously, he held various technical and managerial positions with contractors (Comex and Hyco) and operators (Australian Aquitaine, Aquitaine of Canada) in North America, Europe, North and West Africa, Near and Middle East, South-East Asia and Australia.
